Death of a retired Police Officer : PW 48 Margaret Rose Dinning (nee Dawson)

Margaret DinningIt is with deep regret that we have to announce the death of a retired Police Officer : PW  48 Margaret Rose Dinning (nee Dawson), aged 81 years, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, 27th, April 2017.
Margaret, who was married to Chief Superintendent Raymond Dinning, (Rtd), joined the Durham Constabulary in  1st April 1957  and served in Durham City and Chester-le-Street Divisions, retiring on 27th April 1962  to have her first child.
However in retirement she retained her police involvement and was for many years the Chairman of the Chester-le-Street Police Ladies Club in addition to being the organiser of regular Chester-le-Street Divisional Charity Social Evenings in aid of The Freeman Hospital Cardiology Unit, and the Annual Children’s Christmas Parties.
She leaves her husband Raymond, Son Steven & his wife Jennifer and daughter Tracey and her partner Jo, together with her grandchildren Kirsty (partner Alex)   and Andrew
Funeral Service to be held at Chester-le-Street St Marys and St. Cuthbert’s Parish Church, Church Chare Chester-le-Street at 11.am. on Monday 15th, May 2017 followed by a private (Family Only) cremation.
Family Flowers only, donations in lieu, (if so desired) to Cardiology Care Unit Universities North Durham Hospital.
