Death of a retired Police Officer : Superintendent Reay Henderson

It is with regret that we have to inform you of the death of a retired Police Officer : Superintendent Reay Henderson (ex Durham & Northumbria)
Reay had been suffering  ill health for some months and died on Tuesday 16th December 2014. 
He  initially joined the Durham Constabulary and served at Hartlepool and on the S.I.S until the amalgamation in 1974 when he transferred to the Northumbria Police area,  working in many parts of the Force, including the Sunderland area, achieving  the rank of Superintendent. After retirement he moved house to Shotley Bridge.
The funeral is to take place at 12.30pm on Monday 29th December 2014 , at Mountsett Crematorium,  Dipton, near Stanley(Post Code DH99JP). Details will be posted in the Chronicle in due course.

Death of a retired Police Officer : D.C. Thomas Herries

It is with regret that we have to inform you of the death of a retired Police Officer : D.C. Thomas Herries, aged 94 years who died on Tuesday, 9th December, 2014.
His next of kin is Francis BUDKIN (daughter) and son in law Peter Budkin.  ( Service details not available from family)
The funeral will take place on Tuesday, 16th December at 10.15am, at Darlington Crematorium.
Family flowers only.
Donations in lieu to St. Teresa’s Hospice or Marie Curie Funds. Offering plate will be in the crematorium.
Our thoughts are with the family at this sad time.
