Death of Elsie Richards, 69yrs, the wife of John Richards, a Durham NARPO member.

It is with regret that we have to inform you of the death of Elsie Richards, 69yrs, the wife of John Richards, a Durham NARPO member.
Elsie died suddenly at home on Monday 13th July 2020 (13th July was also Elsie's birthday).
Elsie was the wife of John, devoted mam to Victoria, precious grandma to Jack and Poppy, loyal and caring sister and aunt.
Funeral service to be held at Wear Valley Crematorium on Tuesday July 28th at 2.30 p.m.
To celebrate a truly beautiful soul, please can all attending wear something Pink and if you would like to send flowers please could they match the Pink and White theme.

Request for info. re death of a retired Durham/Cleveland officer : Leslie George Fleming

Cleveland NARPO have taken a report of the death of one of their members : Leslie George Fleming, 93yrs, who died on 26th June 2020, peacefully in hospital after a fall at home.
Mr Fleming served between 1956 – 1986 in Durham, Teesside and Cleveland Constabulary’s so may be known to some of Durham Branch members.
He leaves a widow Irene, three children, grand children and great Grandchildren.
His funeral is to be held at Stockton crematorium on Friday 10th July 2020, restricted to close family only due to current restrictions.
The family would be interested in information regarding four commendations he got during his service, which force is unclear, it is believed he generally worked Stockton, Norton and Billingham areas

Death of a Durham NARPO committee members daughter : Lesley Shaw (nee Brighouse)

It is with regret that we have to inform you of the death of a Durham NARPO committee members daughter : Lesley Shaw  (nee Brighouse)who passed away peacefully on June 24th, aged 56 years.
Lesley was the dearly loved wife of Tony, precious mam of Katy & treasured daughter of Ches and Maureen Brighouse.
Ches & Maureen said that Lesley  died in St Cuthbert’s Hospice and the family wish to express their gratitude to all of the staff at the hospice for the care, comfort and compassion given to Lesley during her stay.
A private Funeral will take place.
Donation in lieu of flowers, to make it to St Cuthbert’s Hospice.
