Death of a retired Police Officer : Inspector Richard ('Dick') Hadlow

It is with regret that we have to inform you of the death of a retired Police Officer : Inspector Richard ('Dick') Hadlow, 87 years of Windy Nook, Gateshead a former member of Durham County Constabulary who died on the 24^th April 2018.
Dick served as a uniform Constable from 1950 at Dunston, Felling, Hebburn and Jarrow, then Sergeant at South Shields.  At the 1974 amalgamation he opted for Northumbria and retired as Inspector at Whickham in 1979.
A keen sportsman in his younger days, he was a very good golfer.
The funeral will be held at South Shields Crematorium, John Reid Rd at 2.45pm Monday 14^th May, 2018
