It is with regret that we announce the death of ex PC 1506 Barry Purdy Simpson. Mr Simpson died on the 27th July 2010 aged 73 years. He leaves a widow Marian.
Ex PC Simpson retired from Wear Valley Division in 1984 following 21 years service.
He had previously served at Castle Eden, Addison Colliery, Sedgefield, Harperley Hall Mounted Branch and HQ Training.
